Frank Allen Scott also known as Coolie and Banks was born June 19th, 1935, in Richmond County, Virginia to the late Wille and Ethel Scott. Frank received his education at Richmond County Public School. Frank joined Clarksville Baptist Church at an early age and attended regularly while setting off his watch in service every Sunday for the time. Frank became a lifelong member of Clarksville and lifetime resident of the Scott Town Community, Warsaw, Virginia.
Frank worked many years with VDOT Transportation in Tappahannock VA until he retired. After retiring, he loved to spend time with his grandkids which he thought the world of. Frank was a sports fanatic which he loved baseball and football, but baseball was his sport which he played with a passion for many years.
On Sunday, April 14th, Frank departed this life at VCU Hospital Tappahannock, Virginia. Frank was a kind and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle to all. He was a great man that would lend a helping hand to family or friends.
Cherishing his fond memories are two daughters, Chiquita Smith of Silver Spring, MD, Samantha Wilson (Marshall) of Fredericksburg, VA; 5 grandchildren: Keyondra Wilson of Los Angeles, CA, Malik Wilson, Alexia Wilson, Ayden Wilson, Marshall Wilson Jr of Fredericksburg, VA; one great-grandson, Ezra Alijah Tillery of Fredericksburg, VA; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A few dedicated and loving individuals Shelby, Linda, Loleto, Angelo Barber and Bernice Laws. His early morning phone partner Mary Lue Barber. His best friend, Robert (Bobby) Carey.
Frank was preceded in death by his Father and Mother Willie and Ethel Scott, siblings: Nannie Bryant, Louise Johnson, William H. Scott, Mary Barber, and Rosa Scott.
A Funeral Service for Frank Scott of Warsaw, Virginia will be held on Friday, April 26 at 12 Noon in the sanctuary of Clarksville Baptist Church, 445 Menokin Road, Warsaw, Virginia.
Interment will follow in the Clarksville Baptist Church Cemetery
The viewing will be on Thursday, April 25 from 4PM until 6PM in the chapel of the WELDON-FISHER FUNERAL HOME and from 11AM until service time on Friday at Clarksville Baptist Church.
